Show time with Zora's amazing citique, and Mika showing off

I'm so incredibly proud over Zora, (Lappvikens Black Diamond owned by Tia Shrimpton) handling and critique from Welsh Kennel Club show on Aug 18th. Tate showed her and she looked amazing, even though in her "summer dress" Cant wait to see her when her full jacket is back on.
The critique from Julie Vaughan Breed Specialist for Lappvikens Black Diamond aka Zora -14 months Black and Tan .Super, lovely girl with very little to fault about her. She excels in head,is well proportioned with good bone and strength. Beautifully constructed with correct forehand assembly matched with moderate hind angulation She stands correct front and rear and as wit
h her construction she moves soundly with correct length of stride " 1st JB

Zora haven't been shown very frequently and her confidence in the show ring have  improved so immensely, well done Tia, Tate and Ed :-) Now ready for CRUFTS!

Lappvikens Mika (co owned by me and Jackie & Dave Hunt) and Zoras litter brother also did well at Wales and also got a 1st JD. Mikas critique:

14 month black & tan of correct all round proportions. Lovely head with good expression, good eyes and ears. Well constructed all through with good angulation, good breath and adequate bone for height. He stand correct front and rear and have pleasing movement but slightly loose in front. In excellent coat of correct harsh texture.
Me with the lovely Mika
Mika have done very well and also got 1st at Richmond show with a critique thats was very spot-on in my poor handling ! Back to ring craft before next show:-/

1 Crowhurst’s Lappvikens Mika, 15 months of nice type, but could be handled to better advantage. Well moulded, typical head, good coat, typy breed representative, but fails in front movement.

Puppies meet one week before 1st birthday

Had a wonderful time with five of Unikko and Musses getting together today at Bodiam castle. All look very well, even poor Chase who after recovering from gastric parasite and abdominal surgery, got attacked by a staffie yesterday, poor girl got a nasty puncture wound on her jaw!
Huge thanks to my lovely puppy families who are looking after their growing furballs so well. Massive thanks to Tate, Tia and Sam to come all the way from Yeovil with Zora, also to Sarah, Gordon and Gretel all the way from Burnham on Crouch, Lottie and Chase from Teyham, and Jackie, Dave, Wendy with Mika from Eastbourne:-)

Finnish Lapphund Club of GB show

Well this was the most amazing day, I couldn't have been prouder! I entered Lina, Mika and Unikko for the show and hope for a placing with first 3 for the pups as this would mean they would qualify for Crufts 2013. As it was to my utter delight, judge Hans Lethinen from Finland gave Lina 1st bitchpuppy, Mika 1st dog puppy and then Unikko for first placing in Novice class! What a fantastic affirmation of the quality of my first ever litter:) Both puppies now qualified for crufts at their first opportunity

Bodiam walk Feb -12

Chase
What a wonderful day! We went to Bodiam castle in East Sussex and met up with Lottie, Paul and Chase, Sara, Gordon and Gretel and we had Jackie and Mika with us, so six lappies, four Lappvikens siblings. The puppies look wonderful, really happy and sociable, the one who was showing off was Lina who was very bossy when she first met up with Chase! Right madam, but after being put in her place they all had a great time running along the river bank. Its a faboulus spot, super open fields along the river bank, no lifestock in sight! A great proper castle as back drop and lovely tea rooms :-)
